In between dates opening for Taylor Swift, Greatest Band in the World MUNA are heading across North America on their own headlining Life’s So Fun Tour. Touring in support of their 2022 self-titled LP (released via Phoebe Bridgers’ Saddest Factory Records), they made a stop at The Met Philly on Friday, May 5th.

Fans waited eagerly for MUNA to arrive and, when the lights dimmed, excitement electrified the room. When they finally took the stage, their presence instantly radiated a contagious energy that had the crowd jumping out of their shoes. MUNA got started with “What I Want”, “Number One Fan”, and “Solid” from MUNA and Saves The World. Interacting with the crowd, their appreciation was evident. Lead singer Katie Gavin’s beautiful voice perfectly matched the majesty of the grand, historic venue, especially on tracks like “Home By Now” and “Anything But Me. The definition of stage presence, MUNA danced all night along with the fans and made it very clear that you were welcome to be yourself in this atmosphere. They ended their set with brand new song “One That Got Away” (a song about “rubbing your hot ass in the face of someone who messed up their chance of being with you”), before returning with an encore of “I Know A Place” and 2021 song of the summer “Silk Chiffon”.

MUNA will be continuing on tour through July, both as headliners and supporting on select dates of The Eras Tour. They’ll also be part of the dream lineup playing the 2-day All Things Go festival this fall at Merriweather Post Pavilion in MD along with boygenius, Carly Rae Jepsen, beabadoobee and many others.
