Touring act Howls Road and Jersey locals Kyra Camille and the Chameleons and Pathetica played Flemington DIY on Saturday, October 15th. It was an eclectic night of music capped off with a phenomenal performance by Kyra Camille and her band. I knew we were in for a great show before their set even started when they sound checked with a cover of “Teenage Dirtbag”. They kicked off their set with a cover of Steve Lacy’s “Bad Habit” before launching into songs from Camille’s 2021 LP Creature of My Creation. They also delighted with top notch covers of “Valerie” and “Say It Ain’t So”. Performing as a 4-piece, they sounded tight and have great stage chemistry. They ended their set with a rousing rendition of “Dizzy” (from Creature of My Creation).
