New Music and Record Deal for Kero Kero Bonito!

Big news for UK trio Kero Kero Bonito! The band just penned a new deal with Polyvinyl Records and released a magnificent new single titled “Make Believe” (see official video below). On this new track, they continue where they left off on their TOTEP EP (released earlier this year) – it’s a less-in-your-face-but-still-plenty-poppy approach (compared to their earlier releases) with melodies and vocals resembling early Cardigans or The Postmarks with an electro twist. Their TOTEP track “The One True Path” is akin to Violator-era Depeche Mode, but not depressing. I can further describe their sound as basically everything I’ve ever loved about pop music ever.

Their much anticipated full-length follow-up to 2016’s Bonito Generation will be released “soon” (and will be titled Time ‘n’ Place); however, an official release date has not yet been announced. Needless to say, I am pretty jazzed. They’ll be touring North America in October and November and will be making a stop in Philly when they play PhilaMOCA on 10/18. Unfortunately, if you don’t already have tickets, that show sold out quicker than the Spice Girls sold out MSG so your only hope is that they add more dates. You can see all of their upcoming tour dates here.
