French synth-pop artist Christine and the Queens will be performing at Union Transfer in Philadelphia this Friday, November 2nd (tickets are still available to purchase here). Héloïse Letissier, assuming her newly-evolved stage persona Chris, is currently headlining her second North American tour since the re-release of her debut album Chaleur Humaine in 2015, which she adapted for English-speaking audiences.
Sure to dazzle and hypnotize the crowd with her theatrical choreography and carefully-coordinated lighting and stage effects, Letissier is expected to perform much of her sophomore album, the 2018 self-titled Chris. The album, written/produced/arranged by Letissier, features a French and English side, both on which she plays fast and loose with the language, sauntering in and out of her native tongue, as she’s also known to do during her performances.
With accolades from Madonna, Elton John, and Paul McCartney, Christine and the Queens put on a live show that’s simply unmissable. Stream Chris in its entirety and see all of her remaining North American tour dates below, as well as the official video for “5 dollars”.
