Hana Vu and Babebee played Johnny Brenda’s in Philly on Friday, July 26th. It’s been a minute since we last had a chance to catch LA-based singer-songwriter Hana Vu – it was back in 2019 after the release of her debut EP How Many Times Have You Driven By. A follow-up to 2021’s Public Storage LP, Vu released her excellent sophomore LP Romanticism earlier this year. The album gives sad summer vibes on standout tracks like “Care”, “Airplane”, “22”, and “Hammer”. I’m not sure what kind of effects she was using, but her vocals sounded thick and dreamy as she performed through most of Romanticism.
