Inaugural Frantic City Fest happening this weekend in Atlantic City!

Read previous – Frantic City fest announcement

The inaugural Frantic City Festival is happening this Saturday, September 24th at the Orange Loop Amphitheater in Atlantic City, NJ! Since its announcement in April, there’ve been a couple changes to the lineup – Car Seat Headrest and The Raveonettes have dropped off, but legendary punk/NJ natives The Bouncing Souls have been added. While there’s a net loss of 1 band in the lineup, I’m happy to get hour-long sets from Yo La Tengo and Snail Mail in exchange. Performances will alternate between 2 stages and the final schedule has just been shared (see below). Doors/gates are at 11am and tickets are still available here. If you’re wondering what you can/cannot bring with you, check out this post on the Frantic City IG.

If you plan to arrive to AC a night early, there’s an opening night party on Friday, September 23rd (at 7pm) at Bourre featuring Frantic City performers Samiam, as well as The Ergs! and Night Birds (and hosted by Natalie Cuomo). Tickets to that show are available here.

If you’re not ready to call it a night after 10 hours of live music, there are 2 free (yes, free) afterparties that Saturday night (both starting at 10pm). At Bourre, there’ll be Live Piano Karaoke with Joe McGinty presented by Sid Gold’s Request Room. At Anchor Rock Club, New York Night Train (aka DJ Jonathan Toubin) will be hosting a Soul Clap & Dance Off. Take a look at the map below for directions.
