Nada Surf kicked off their North American tour at World Cafe Live in Philly on Wednesday, 11/3. Originally scheduled for 2020, the tour is in support of their 9th and latest LP Never Not Together. Joining them for their first tour ever is Pom Pom Squad, a band that I’ve been highly anticipating catching live since listening to their 2019 EP Ow. I remember exactly where I was when I first listened to that EP and being blown away by “Again” then immediately wrecked by “Cut My Hair“. They followed that up with their superb debut LP Death of a Cheerleader earlier this year which has since become my de facto rock album of choice.
Nada Surf and Pom Pom Squad will be continuing together on tour through November and will return to the area again when they play White Eagle Hall in Jersey City on 11/19 (tickets here) and Music Hall of Williamsburg on 11/20. Next year, Pom Pom Squad will be joining Fenne Lilly and illuminati hotties for select dates including a stop at the First Unitarian Church in Philly on 2/26 (tickets here).
