The Front Bottoms’ Champagne Jam @ The Fillmore Philly
NJ folk punk band The Front Bottoms‘ brought their annual year-end Champange Jam to The Fillmore Philly on Saturday, December 21st. The event spanned 3 stages including The Fillmore main stage, The Foundry, and Punch Line. The main stage featured Mannequin Pussy, The World Is A Beautiful Place, Vundabar, WHY?, and a headlining performance by The Front Bottoms. Recently ailing vocalist/guitarist Brian Sella, hospitalized for appendicitis earlier in the month, was wheeled onto stage in a hospital gown and champagne IV drip. He then rose to address the crowd, letting them know he would be ignoring doctor’s orders for the remainder of the evening. The crowd showed their love and appreciation by shouting the lyrics to every song, as if every one was their favorite. Crowd surfing and moshing ensued and the energy was straight up Jersey.
The Front Bottoms performed their newest single “Camouflage”, which was released just 1 day prior. Watch the official music video below. Their follow-up to 2017’s Going Grey will be due out later in 2020.
