Update: unfortunately, Kiley from Petal is dealing with some health issues and will no longer be able to perform; however, Shannen Moser will be filling in!
Awesome local show alert! WPRB is holding a 2-night concert event right in their (figurative) backyard on September 8th and 9th at Trinity Church in Princeton, NJ. We’re most excited about night 1 (Saturday) which will feature a headlining performance from Petal, with support from Thin Lips and Sea Slug. Night 2 will feature James Chance & The Contortions, with support from Sediment Club and Human Adult Band. Additional details can be found on the event’s FB page.
If you’ve been following us for the past month or so, you might remember that we were able to catch Petal with Camp Cope (see those pictures here) when they performed at House of Independents in Asbury Park. We’re HUGE fans of Petal/Kiley Lotz and are super excited that she’s making a special stop in NJ before heading off on her European tour.
We’re also very pumped to catch Philly’s own Thin Lips, who have only just recently popped up on our radar. They just released their sophomore LP, Chosen Family, which is so infectiously melodic and riffy (and the opening monologue on the title track will immediately reel you right in). Support local artists and independent radio and make it out to this event!
