Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros performed at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square on Wednesday, 8/28 (Willy Mason opened). They’re currently touring in support of their recently released eponymously-named 3rd LP (their follow-up to 2012’s Here). Below is the official music video for “Better Days” (which features footage from the craptastic ’80s film Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo), the first single from the new album. You can stream the new album in its entirety on Spotify.
The rain didn’t put a damper on their performance, which was replete with audience interaction and banter by frontman Alex Ebert. Ebert jumped into the crowd on numerous occasions for an audience sing-along, as well as to hear some stories during their performance of “Home“. They ended their set with “40 Day Dream“, a song that Ebert mentioned they never play. And although they wanted to perform an encore, alas the venue would not allow it.
