“Heavy metal flamenco” duo Rodrigo y Gabriela performed at the Electric Factory in Philly on Friday, 8/2 (Zach Heckendorf opened). The duo have just completed touring in support of their latest album Area 52, which they recorded in 2012 with a 13-piece Cuban orchestra. During their set, they played some new songs as well as plenty of crowd-pleasers from across their discography. They even performed a reinterpreted version of Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”.
