Clap Your Hands Say Yeah performed at the TLA in Philly on 8/1 (Needle Points and The Homophones opened). You might recall that CYHSY officially blew up the blogosphere in 2005 after they independently released their fantastic self-titled debut LP – now with a new lineup, they just released a new EP Little Moments that was recorded in frontman Alec Ounsworth’s home studio in Philly. It sees them taking a completely different “synth-y” approach compared to their previous outings – you can stream the new EP below. Also below is the track “Home On Ice” from their debut LP, a song with which I was officially obsessed and was the soundtrack to many a slideshow.
CYHSY will continue touring until October (see tour dates here) then will be releasing a brand new LP at the beginning of 2014.
