Hitting the road for the 11th consecutive summer, 311’s Unity Tour hit Philly’s Festival Pier on Wednesday, 7/10. The fellas from 311 brought along special guests Cypress Hill and Philly’s own G. Love & Special Sauce. 311 is known for their live performances which are full of energy and epic setlists – they didn’t disappoint their fan base in Philly which rocked out to every second of their show.
From the moment they got on stage until their encore, 311 had fans riled up and singing along to every word and jumping to every beat. 311 has been putting records out since 1993 and they made sure to keep their fans guessing which song they’d play next. They played their staples, but also threw in some rarities that got the crowd even more excited. They did their infamous “Applied Science” drum sequence, which is always guaranteed to be amazing (see the full setlist below).
After the concert was over, I left the venue sweaty and in awe that these guys can still put on an amazing show after all these years. You can tell when a band really loves what they do – and 311 is a prime example of that.
311 will continue their Unity Tour throughout the U.S. until August. You can check out all the dates here. You can also catch the guys at their annual 311 Day concert, which will be taking place in New Orleans in 2014.
