Perennial indie rock heavy-hitters The National performed at the Mann in Philly on Friday, 6/7 (the headline-worthy Dirty Projectors opened). The National is currently touring in support of their recently released sixth studio LP Trouble Will Find Me (their follow-up to 2010’s equally excellent High Violet). With each release, The National show that they can do no wrong and prove that their tried-and-true formula only gets better with age. You can currently stream Trouble Will Find Me in its entirety on Spotify. Below is the official music video for “Sea Of Love” off of Trouble Will Find Me. The National were also just recently filmed for a Tiny Desk Concert at NPR Music – watch the whole 4-song performance here (FYI, it includes “Pink Rabbits” [quite possibly one of their greatest songs of all time, IMO]).
In true The National form, they’ll be touring for the remainder of the year (and likely for a good time thereafter). See all of their upcoming tour dates here. Also, stay tuned for an upcoming screening of their acclaimed documentary Mistaken For Strangers.
