South African megastars The Parlotones performed at World Cafe Live in Philly on 4/21 (Dinner and a Suit opened the show). They’re currently touring in support of their recently released EP Shake It Up (listen on Spotify).
The Parlotones recently re-located from South Africa to the US, deciding to make LA their new home. While known as the biggest rock band in South Africa (and selling out stadiums), they’re roughin’ it in the States to considerably more sparse crowds; however, that didn’t stop frontman Kahn Morbee from breakin’ out all of his stadium moves and showmanship. Below is the official music video for “Push Me To The Floor” from The Parlotones’ 2011 LP Live Design – here is a video of them performing that song live at their recent show at T.T. the Bear’s Place in Cambridge, MA. Keep up with them and their latest US exploits on their FB page.
