The now vowel-less STRFKR will be performing at Union Transfer in Philly on Thursday, March 14th. Blackbird Blackbird will be the opener. Tickets for the show are currently still available and can be purchased here. You can see their full list of tour dates here.
The last time I saw STRFKR was in 2008 when they played a BrooklynVegan day party at the (now closed) Knitting Factory in NYC during the CMJ Festival (see photos). Since then, they’ve officially blown up. I know this because their fantastic track “Rawnald Gregory Erickson the Second” was used in a Target ad. In all seriousness, they are awesome.
